About Dozy

Roseanna "Dozy" Hanson (she/her) has been in the tattoo industry since 2017, specializing in a neotraditional style. With a love for bright colours and bold imagery, her favourite subjects to tattoo are florals and cats.

You can find her working from her private studio in Sheffield, or at various guest spots across the UK and USA.

Previous businesses

Dozy's dedication to fostering creative and welcoming spaces is evident in her former businesses, including The Yorkshire Collective, a fashion brand featuring her own designs and designs from other local artists, now part of the non-profit organisation Printed By Us.

She also founded Coven Barnsley in 2022, an LGBTQ+ friendly collaborative space boasting all 5-star reviews with tattooing, piercing, hair salon and coffee shop, now permanently closed.

Brenda the boat

Dozy is currently working on renovating her narrowboat, named Brenda after her nannan, which is moored locally. Brenda will eventually be home to Dozy and her two cats, Paprika and Humbug once the renovation is completed.

Roses & Castles style

Due to spending more time on the canal network and around other boaters, Dozy has developed an interest in teaching herself the endagered Roses and Castles style of traditional art. Typically this art style was seen across the UK inland waterways on narrowboats and barges travelling across the country.
